Note:CMS can have two different meanings. Content Management is always the same... but the ending S can mean System or Services. We will be using both terms on this page

Content management is now seen as a key strategic requirement, with content management systems (CMS most common definition for this term) being implemented as a core business system, but not something you may have considered if you have never owned a website. Why? Because today’s web sites are no longer a "build it and forget it". Successful web sites and web campaigns require ongoing support, updates, case studies, Blogs, RSS Feeds, new looks, product launches & updates, forums, events, company news and much more. You will find it is very important that you are able to adjust or add to your content without having to mess with the code and with a minimal amount of time involved. We provide each website we create with content management services.

We can quote pricing that includes training for up to two hours in a single session. Additional support is $125 per hour, one hour minimum.

Submittals:

Submittals of more than 500 words (or 3 pages at 1024 resolution) will incur a $75 charge per 300 additional words. JDA Publishing reserves the right to return any submittal for clarification or formatting to promote efficient and accurate updating.

Pricing - Programs start from $125 a month for Lite Updating, to $500 for updates twice a week or more. Annual Web Maintenance is ideal for companies that have regularly scheduled updates, such as monthly press releases or bi-weekly updates. Evaluating and Implementing a CMS

We can work with you to select the most effective content management system out of the many on the market. This includes helping you identify your business needs, understanding sequences, or assessing vendors. We can also provide a short-list of suitable products. Beyond initial selection, we can advise on best-practice approaches to CMS implementation.

With hundreds of products available in the ever-changing marketplace, the challenge is to select the most suitable content management system, and successfully prepare it for use by you and/or your group. In this relately new field, the focus must therefore be on identifying and sharing best-practice approaches to content management projects. What is the difference between a wiki and a blog, a blog and a forum layout? What is the best deployment for your company's material? We can help you determine the most suitable system.

One point we'd like to make clear.... We are strictly software-neutral: we don't have a CMS of our own, we don't have alliances with any vendors (although we prefer Open Source projects) and we don't custom-develop solutions. Directory publishing requires that thousands of entries from a wide variety of sources be continously managed and updated. For online directories, the challenge is amplified, because online information is expected to always be current. Keeping sources and input accurate requires constant vigilance.

Whether you need partial or complete web site maintenance, we are there for you. Our maintenance rates are very reasonable and our service is second to none.

On-Going Maintenance

Due to seasonal offerings, sales, and inventory availability, an important step of an e-commerce website is on-going updates. This continuous process helps build repeat customers by providing updated products and special offers. On-going updates are also an important step for search engine optimization. We have the ability to act as an extension of your marketing team by continuously updating your website, helping to increase traffic and profits.

We offer plans that start at $125.00 per month. Maintenance prices greatly depends on the size of the website, the amount of updates per month you will be doing and the type of updates involved (i.e. image updates that require scanning and optimizing would cost more to maintain than simple text updates). We don't have set prices for maintenance plans because we determine the amount of maintenance that will be needed during the site creation or redesign. That way we both have a better understanding of what it will take to maintain your site rather than guessing beforehand and paying too much in the end.

Site Maintenance includes small changes to your current site. Content may be added, removed or rearranged. Maintenance does not include design. My fee for site maintenance is $75/hour.

You may purchase as many hours as you'd like, and you do not have to use them all at one time.
